I don't know how widespread this is, but where I live, CBS airs West Wing at midnight on Saturday nights, usually older episodes too. So I sit through SNL until after Weekend Update, then watch WW. "Noel" was on last night. I've seen that one so much but still love it every time. I'm pretty sure I posted something along these lines in west_wing_fans relatively recently, but I think it merits a second mention. The power and emotion... beyond words. Brad Whitford acted the crap out of it. My best friend is also a Winger, but didn't start watching until the end of the second season; I believe she's seen the first season by now via DVD, but not much of the second. I taped and showed her "Noel" in March. It was great to see her reaction to it.

Do you guys prefer the episodes with emphasis on character drama or politics? Given, Sorkin often had a good mix of both in each ep, and they coincided as well, but still curious.

Added bonus, I love "Carol of the Bells".

It was the politics that brought me to the show in the first place, but it's the characters that keep me there. The episodes that focus on characters are probably my favorite.

The first full episode I ever saw of TWW was Noel, and I just fell in love. I've seen the ep at least 10 times, have memorized good chunks of it, and still tear up every time I see it. It was definately the characters, especially Josh, that got me hooked, and now with Sorkin gone, the characters keep me hooked.
WW is on Bravo from 11-1 and at 7 on weekdays where I'm at.
